AN EXCLUSIVE STATEWIDE MOVIE SCREENING

Taking fundraising to the Next Level!

December 8 – 11 was an exciting whirlwind of fundraising activity!

Over the course of these 4-days, we hosted nearly 1,500 guests in four cities across the state at special screenings of the blockbuster holiday movie Jumanji: The Next Level.

By the time the final credits rolled at our last screening, a total of $265,000 was raised to support Open Access and the Jo Elyn Nyman Anchors Programs for Children at Hospice of Michigan and Arbor Hospice.

Dating back to the highly successful movie premieres of The Polar Express in 2004 and Zathura in 2005 – which raised more than $1.5 M for end-of-life pediatric care – Mr. Van Allsburg, has generously shared his talents to benefit our community’s youngest residents. This statewide fundraising event is yet another example of his continued commitment to shine a light on the important care provided to terminally and chronically ill pediatric patients and their families within the Anchors Programs for Children.

Anchors Programs for Children offers a full continuum of pediatric services to support families facing the unimaginable. As the only statewide pediatric hospice and supportive care program, we offer such families, specially trained staff that provide medical, social, spiritual and emotional support to help navigate difficult situations. Since the inception of our pediatric programs, we have served thousands of children and families across Michigan.
